We share an ambition to be recognised as the benchmark in all our operations.

At TrustFord we keep on growing. From selling electric vehicles in ever greater numbers, to providing more mobile servicing and growing our commercial and fleet vehicles, we’re offering and delivering more choice to our customers every day. Becoming a more diverse and inclusive business will also be vital to our success, but what won’t change is the buzz we get from working in a fast-paced environment that’s 100% customer-focused.

As a Network and Firewall Specialist, you will deliver a major enterprise programme focused on reducing cyber risk through firewall remediation, Zero Trust segmentation, and least-privilege access across the organisation. You will lead the identification and remediation of firewall and segmentation risks from audits and security assessments, including overly permissive rules, lateral movement exposure, DMZ weaknesses, and inadequate outbound controls. The role is responsible for designing and implementing a secure segmentation model across user, server, management, Tier-0, and DMZ zones, enforcing controlled inter-zone communication and eliminating unnecessary east-west traffic. You will own firewall policy governance, ensuring rules are business-justified, least-privilege, fully logged, and regularly reviewed, including removal of “any/any” access and reduction of Active Directory exposure. Working with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and third parties, you will coordinate remediation delivery and ensure alignment with audit requirements and enterprise security standards. You will also manage and optimise Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD/FMC) environments, including IPS enablement, logging, and operational firewall governance. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong firewall engineering expertise and the ability to deliver structured remediation across complex enterprise environments.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering large‑scale segmentation and firewall remediation programmes, including leading end‑to‑end delivery within complex enterprise environments. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with relevant technologies, programme scope, and measurable outcomes achieved.
  • Strong capability in firewall remediation strategy, including the ability to prioritise and reduce overly permissive rulesets, address “any/any” access, and implement risk‑based remediation while maintaining service continuity in live production environments.
  • Hands‑on expertise with Cisco Secure Firewall technologies (FTD/FMC), IPS, and network segmentation, with the ability to operate confidently in complex, multi‑vendor or multi‑site environments. Candidates should be able to reference real‑world scenarios where they provided advanced support or delivered technical improvements.

Together with our generous rewards and structured approach to training and development, we offer real job security and every opportunity to progress. So, if you are committed and are looking for a career, please apply online.
